Just saw the first season of Last Chance U but for basketball. It features a kid named Joe Hampton who used to play for Dematha and is all around a pretty solid show that I would recommend.

Just saw the first season of Last Chance U but for basketball. It features a kid named Joe Hampton who used to play for Dematha and is all around a pretty solid show that I would recommend. I enjoyed the show and was happy to see the players seemed more in tune with staying eligible and getting their school work done than seemed to happen on the football versions. It could have been edited differently than the football academic part but hopefully it was true to reality. It was also surreal watching them roll through the season only to suddenly get impacted by Covid shutdowns and to see their heartbreak after working so hard to have their season abruptly ended. |
