Hurts to read that. Two highly talented people who just got a bit unlucky. Hopefully Presson can get some good looks off his size cuz he sounds monstrous and hopefully Wilson has enough film as it is.
For Sherwood, Jaron Wilson and Nick Presson are my 2 picks. Wilson would have been the fastest player on Sherwood's roster, one of the fastest kids in the county, and would finally have the chance to be the premier running back in Sherwood's run-heavy offense with a solid o-line in front of him. Wilson started at corner for Sherwood last season and was in their running back rotation. What kept him from being a bell-cow running back was his weight, I believe he was in the 150-160 range his junior year, but he recently has bulked up to 175. It seemed like every time he touched the ball last season, he was busting a long run. He was a guy that could have made All-4A and played at a solid D2/D3 or maybe even have walked on at a FCS school. Nick Presson was 1st team All-4A North last year as an offensive lineman and would have been Sherwood's best lineman period. He has legit D1 size at 6'4 230. However, he projects more as a defensive lineman in college given his weight. Sherwood had a stacked d-line last year with all seniors, 3 of whom were 1st team All-4A North, so Presson didn't see much time on the defensive side of the ball. This year he would have shown his ability on the defensive line if we would've had a season and probably would have made 1st team All-4A North and probably 1st or 2nd team All-4A.
