In case yall missed it. The "real" Montgomery Marty is still kickin and blessed us with one of his always great & hilarious quotes
Marty - "Grudgingly, boys and girls, the Big and Fury will move Rocketville up to No. 5, fully expectin' the Rams to get hickory smoked by RM in Week 8. This is in fond memory of Ol' Jack Freeman, rockin' his cutoff orange sweatpants!"

I had a couple of meme ideas for if Sherwood missed out on the E6, this is a nice consolation

Baring some big upset, this list will look exactly the same next week. It will change after week 8 only if NW surprises QO or NW fails to show up at the Dome. If it's a competitive game, regardless of who wins, #s 1 and 2 should remain at the top. I think QO is going to expose some flaws in NW's o-line - Coach Kelley has done an amazing job reviewing NW film over the last few years and has exposed and reacted to NW trends and weaknesses. E.g., he knows the players' tells and their strengths / weaknesses and QO exploits them. QOs been watching NW film since the final whistle of their Dmass game.

rustpicker and you don’t think NW has been doing the same thing low key watching film on QO since earlier in the season ? After getting blown out twice by them last year...QO has weaknesses too that NW can exploit

During his tenure at Dmass he exposed QO’s weaknesses.

RM are the Gatekeepers of Elite 6 Rockville has beaten nobody and Sherwood will loose to Paint branch. RM will either be # 6 or 5 by the end of the season by beating Rockville and knocking them out of the Elite 6 they do not belong there as they will lose to Blake as well later in the season. QO is probably the best team in the State no one can touch them. NW is beatable any elite six team can beat them in the playoffs if you force them to run the ball they can be beat QO will blow them out no contest !!!

Noobs is a good coach as well and doing the same, I agree with you on Kelley. The one thing I hope doesn't happen like in the QO/DMass game is if both teams go down the Personal Foul slope. There is more and more emotion in this rivalry and these players are young, just want a clean hard fought game.

I love a spirited contest, but loathe the late hits and other selfish play.

I agree that Week 7 likely does not have any games that will impact this list. However, Week 8 has way more than just QO/NW on the schedule which will impact this list. Sherwood/Paint Branch and Rockville/RM both have the potential to bring significant change to the list. Even the Blake/Damascus game features two teams who have been/still are on the list, and the WJ/Clarksburg game could provide more clarity on the Wildcats' claim to being considered. Point is - while QO/NW will be the featured game and rightfully so, there are plenty of other big match ups - almost on par with the second week of the season.
